Doppelganger
Empty as a Halloween pumpkin
Flat as a punctured tire
I note myself on the screen
In a t-shirt with Messiah
I almost said howdy mate
But next second I realized
He doesn’t care of my fate
Though he won’t be at all surprised
To meet his doppelganger
He’d probably buy me a drink
He’d look from a different angle
On every subject I link
Eventually I would see
That he’s not like me at all
“Thanks for the wine and tea,
I’d say, “now its time to go”.
