Doors

Doors open, doors close This is not a love poem My god your eyes are bright Footsteps echo in the hallway Of this hallowed mind A labyrinth entwined Falling in this passage No love talk, no love walk Doors open, doors close Walk in time, watch your step For this is no love poem I’ll hold your hand, for now In time, our steps will differ Through these passages And different doors will open And different doors will close This is not a love poem I’m writing here tonight Hallways that will wither My eyes are open wide

David, a contemplative piece for sure....searching the soul. Sometimes a supportive hand is all that is needed. Realizing the truth has its own rewards.

almost secretive. but with an open door, so the words can be written for a new passage. ~Always

Ow yes this is not a love poem, sounds like a comfort poem,in hard situations, holding hands in the labyrinth would definitely do,for someone afraid of the dark. Those doors shutting and closing leave one breathless and with one question, are we gonna make it out of these corridors,we all will. .in different directions maybe, but we ll make it through!great work,tmfvs.C.C

wonder who opens or closes these doors in your mind? Doors will close and open until you find the path to true love. I feel here your own hesitation, understandably.

Enjoyed your work...My poem was a joke sort of on the neck surgery. I wrote a poem sort of about you singing would you be offended? I did not put your name in it. The line goes-He is singing Wynette's "Stand by your man"
