Doomed

Were we any different,or only doomed since we met
We seemed to think it'd be forever, then we were set
We didn't think life could get in the way
Love could surely conquer the unexpected days
The newness of every moment faded to what we know
Forever loomed before us,we only had to go
 Then something happened,who remembers what
The love I'd forever seeked suddenly seemed to stop
Passion wasn't endless and forever just dragged on
The nights seemed often spent sleeping all alone
I seemed to miss you a little more each day
You were still there, but there were no more words to say
Couldn't you just love me,make the lonliness disappear
Take me in your arms, and forget about the fears
