Don't Worry, Ghosts
When our paths all start to part
And the sun shatters the dark
And everybody's dreams
Start to manifest
I'll be waiting here alone
Clutching strongly to my phone
In a haze
And slumping back to rest
So don't worry
I'll remember our best
When our golden age is dead
And all these feelings of dread
Come to light before my eyes
Like a fantasy
Even if you all forget
I'll be sure to make an etch
Upon my heart
And carry it inside
So don't worry
Those days will never die
When the past has soldiered on
And all of you have gone
And even if you all
Don't remember it
There's still someone stuck behind
In his memories; confined
Stuck in place
Forever guarding you
So don't worry
You're all inside me too
And when no one's looking back
Because it's all burnt to ash
And the happiest of times
Weigh one down like lead
I'll be here to lift that weight
So you all don't have to wait
You can go
And make something of light
So don't worry
I'll keep this burning bright
