Don'T Want To Start All Over
Today is the first day of the rest of my life
That's quite an interesting statement
Couldn't be more accurate if I tried even harder
Puts things in perspective I lament
We can't start over that's not how it works
There's a beginning and sadly an end
Wouldn't want to start out as an infant again
Poopie diapers uh no my friends
Using a “walker” to do simple tasks is degrading
Used to be such an active person
Now just getting dressed in the morning
Leaves me breathless and uncertain
On a happier note still have some good years left
Enjoying what life has to offer
It's definitely not all doom and gloom
But this is surely a tempting proposal
