Don'T Wake Me Til I'M Home Again

The weekend went by too fast
my time with you never lasts enough
Wake me up when I’m home again
My joy has set
and I must wait
to be happy again
Time ticks by
ever slowly
being so far away
is a torture unholy
Wake me up when I’m home again
Pressing on
for your love
a blessing I don’t deserve
In your absence
the days are long
I grow tired
and struggle to stay strong
I crawl into
bed at night
pretending you
are holding me tight
Wake me up when I’m home again
Wake me up when I’m home again
Wake me up when I’m home again
