Don'T Trust Yourself

The wind is starting to get stronger
I don’t know if I can hang on much longer.
Please don’t leave, I need you right now!
If I let go I’m going to drown.
My thoughts are pushing down on me
The waves are crashing and getting angry.
I’m starting to slip, the end is here
Please Lord please just please draw near!
As my last finger slips, I cry out in despair
For I had a future this really isn’t fair.
But it was all my fault, the devil grabbed hold
For it was all my bad thoughts he did mold.
So let this be a lesson learned
Don’t lean on yourself, all you need is the Lord.
