Don'T Slip Away

I can remember
When our love was strong
I always thought
Nothing could go wrong
How wrong I was
That I cried
I wanted nothing more
Then to have you by my side.

I don't want to lose you
You mean too much to me
   Even just as friends
I want you can't you see

After all this pain
I still love you so
You say you slipped away
That I don't know
What I do know is

I don't want to lose you
You mean too much to me
   Even just as friends
I want you can't you see
