Don'T Remember the Lies

I wrote this one for a book I'm working on and wanted to share it with everyone. Hope you like it. Stuck here alone Don’t want to leave. She’d rather be alone With no company. Alone in this darkness Alone with her thoughts Alone with this knife Cutting the clots. The blood trickles down Her body goes numb. She thinks of her life The things that she’s done. The days flew so quickly, The good and the bad. The days which meant nothing, The days which were sad. The light flickers on, And he walks inside. She’s unable to move, Unable to hide. He’s stare at her face, Then down at her arm. He asks, “why this madness?” He asks, “why this harm?” She says, “do not worry Do not be afraid. Just remember my smile As your digging my grave.” The last thing she sees, Are the tears in his eyes. Just remember her smile, Don’t remember her lies.
