Don'T Let Me Fall Back To Sleep
My love, please, don't let me fall back to sleep
But hold me while I cry soft in the night
My dreaming is full of nightmares, my sweet
Yes, I'm tired, but this price is too steep
You see, in each dream I lose you, each time
My love, please, don't let me fall back to sleep
I was in a crowd, all blank-faced as sheep
I looked for you; you were nowhere in sight
My dreaming is full of nightmares, my sweet
I was running through a forest, running through trees
Then I saw the snakes lunging in the half-light
My love, please, don't let me fall back to sleep
Never have I known dreaming to be so bleak
Never had something to lose, to for fight
My dreaming is full of nightmares, my sweet
I don't want to sleep alone; come now please
Come to me so I can finally breathe
My love, please, don't let me fall back to sleep
My dreaming is full of nightmares, my sweet
