Don'T Let Me Down

Your love comes
rising to my face
and I see it written in your eyes
that together we've come to the place

Where Love, sweet sweet Love
is gonna beat back all our cares
wash away all the pain, the tears, and sorrow
Love finally makes all this life seem something fair

I see you in the mornin'
bright, young, and true
come together and hold our hands
'Cause this mornin' I'm gonna make love to you

Love to You, babe, love to you
hold me closer until the night is through
'cause somewhere in this world
Our love is gonna, gonna see us through

Through all this rain
I heard you softly sing
that with your heart you'll give to me
this love more precious and sweeter than anything

Everything, everything is alright
'cause your heart is in us tonight
your eyes are open to all I've done
and they know that somehow, dear lord somehow we've won

Don't let your love let me down
take this dream and keep it sound
I can't fight this war again
afterall this heart of mine still makes me just a man

(think Ben Harper playing nicely on acoustic and Toots Hibbert singing vocals)
