Don'T Let Me Be Alone

disaster awaits
screaming at me fate has been written
cold alone my soul beaten
defeat’s glorious run
my half-risen sun
guarantees no tomorrow
yet no sadness or sorrow
fulfilment in the sound
of your voice
I can hear it now
mocking me in death
as in days spent
gazing from afar

escape the day
and lose myself far away
afraid to take a breath
during the hours of death
come restless sleep
futility in counting these intellectual sheep
looming imminent
only thoughts of impending doom
consume my head and cloud my brain
fear clouds bring fear rain
living in a mass of confusion
wishing for urgent conclusion
moments of peace
happily feasting on spilt blood
here in a flood
a rush of red
overflowing mind's walls
and hearts river bed
remains of this day
my minds play tricks on me they say
escape can be represented
only when death is present
sweep me off
soul’s lost only to be found
pick my feet up off the ground
don’t let me be alone
