Don'T Let Go
Such a short time can feel so long...
Being in your arms makes me feel weak,
Yet makes you feel strong...
I never want to let go of you,
and you didn’t want to let go of me...
But sadly, that’s just the way things have to be...
I had to leave,
but it was just to hard to believe,
I put my head on your shoulder,
my heart sank faster than a boulder...
As the tears came upon my face,
straight from my eyes.
It was difficult to realize...
I had to go,
but I refuse to say goodbye.
You took a good look at me,
straight in the eye...
You kissed my face,
my heart was beating at an unreadable pace.
Though we separated,
You are still in my heart...
So we are never too far apart.
Though we said our goodbyes,
I still continue to think about you.
And the first time we ever said hi.
I look at you,
Is that a tear I see?
Is one of your fears of losing me?
If so, please don’t let me go.
