Don'T Get Sick
Silence my space
I’m blind to all else
Darkness my sage
Shadows your page
Wisdom your age
The world your stage
You never interfere
Never even show fear
The truth you retrace
Dishonesty is the innocent face
In between shattering teeth
The quivering tongue tasting death
You listen attentively to prayer
For sincerity, and only then do you uncover
The true colour of our pencil
Of our inner mantle
Eyes bruised, noses bleed
Fighting for empty pride
I win, you lose
I spin, you choose
Heads, you roll
Tails, you fall
A gift to the world (never unwrapped)
Your undying word (never read)
This page’s omitted from the book
Powerful forces that crush the weak
Standing in a queue for a week
Don’t get sick!
Teeth falling out of words,
To witness the heads versus swords
Reason losing its mind, its voice
Love asking for divorce
Love’s now single
Hate is always plural
Foolishly, fighting shadows
Of burning candles next to curtain windows
The wise know that the unit of pain is penny
Not poverty, not just the wealthy
My money, my honey tell my story
So sorry, you belong to nobody
