Don't Dream, Don't Cry

Don't dream, don't cry...
don't let be something
of your daily living;
as you know dreams
don't last more than a single night!
Don't dream, don't cry...
don't shiver under your sheets:
wish for the guy who held you tight!

Don't dream, don't cry...
avoid as much sadness as you can
because time slips away:
it never waits for your decision;
it could darken your wildest dreams
and leave you in the cold again,
before it's too late: act happily,
feel the warm moonbeams!

Don't dream, don't cry...
you ought to be with these
crazy, changing times
otherwise you'll have no chance!
Don't dream, don't cry...
you''ll stand by while others dance!
