Don'T Cry, My Dear

Never cry, my dear
Never believe in your ear
Distance doesn’t break love
If it does it is not out love
I care as much as I’ve ever cared
And could never forget you, if I dared
Throw away worries
And shuffle through your card of memories
A many great good time
We had in our time
So that stories of Romeo and Juliet
Would sound like a boring sonnet

Never cry my dear
Never believe in your ear
Distance doesn’t break love
If it does, it isn’t our love
I’ll choose you again and again
Like a dried up clayey soil needing rain
I can never have enough of you
I can’t bear your absence
No, without you, life is nonsense
The world is only real to me
Because you are in it with me
