Dont Blame Me

Don’t Blame Me 7-18-2017

I might be the cause of that cry in the night

I might be the cause of the regret you fight

To let yourself remember what you lived

To let yourself remember what you did not give

Enough to know
Know time slipped by
The chances lost, floated up to the sky

I might be the reason you know Good Bye

I might be the reason that you deny

Or can’t remember who loves who or why
Cant get it back, payment is due

Remember me with that vow
You’ve taken more than one by now

But the young times are tied to be
And in the night won’t set you free

I might be the cause of the cry in the night

I might be the cause when birds take flight

Move through the sky like a dark cloud in day light

Let yourself remember the crowd you knew
Before you became me and I became you

I might be the mirror covered by the sheet

I might be the reason you cry in your sleep
