Don'T Become the Devil's Toy

when it states in the Bible that God helps those who help themselves
He's not talking about doing just anything to amass personal wealth 
He's basically telling you to get up off your behind
and do something productive that's positive in mind
be it a job, starting a business or just collecting cans
it's about doing something commendable with one's own hands
for there is nothing better than doing something that's constructive
for it makes you feel good about yourself whenever you're being productive
so do something for yourself, for the planet and for your fellow man
for that is what God had in mind when He devised His master plan
so get up, go out and do something to earn a living but do it with joy
because if you're not working for the greater good you'll become the devil's toy

James Foulk September 18, 2008 at 10:43 AM a great poem and well written. one thing I might mention here is no where in the bible does it say God helps those who help themselves. I use to think that, and i would say it all the time. until i read the bible through word for word, i have since read it about 18 times. and can not find that saying here. I don]t mean to offend you or get you mad, I am just trying to help. you are a great poet and please keep posting.
