Don'T Be Taken By Remorse

Deceiving words and magnetic eyes
were the undeniable attractions you fell for yesterday;
every kiss had the taste of sweet honey,
so impossible to be taken away so suddenly...
after having realized the painful reality of his horrible lies!

Don't be taken by remorse,
feeling sorry for your choice;
happiness is not felt until...
you forgive and forget all!

He softly whispered poetry into your ears,
your attention was somewhere else, actually;
truer lips would have kissed erasing your fears...
warmer hands would have touched you gently!

Don't be taken by remorse,
he made you a princess for a day,
then he took your crown away;
would you rather stay and feel worse?
Don't be taken by remorse,
who has been lied to and been loved
less knows what can be missed!
