Don'T Be Afraid My Child

DON’T BE AFRAID MY CHILD

The birds are waiting in the trees
The sun behind the clouds,
The bushes out in front of us
Are swaying in the breeze.

The rain is gone now,
Don’t shield your face from me
Don’t be afraid my friend
Look up and you will see

The Lord above holds you safe
In the palm of His own hand
Don’t cry my child
We’re in the glory land.

The storm clouds now have gone away
The rain has disappeared
I thank you Lord for you always knew
The plan you had for me.
You’ve kept me close when I was afraid
You loved me everyday.
I’m safe within your arms again
Don’t let me ever stray.
