Done Letting You Win
Every memory is like a
broken piece of glass.
No matter how much I want to,
I can never look back.
Day by day
I count the scars,
remembering all the times
you broke my heart.
I thought you were
perfect for me,
now it seems we
aren't meant to be.
I try my best
not to care,
but when I walk
down the halls,
I see you there.
Everything we had
stops me dead
in my tracks,
and at that moment,
I want you back.
I see the love
still lingering in your eyes.
I know that must
be hard to disguise.
I'm really sorry for
doing this to you,
but you deserve it
for all the pain you
put me through.
I'm sorry for the way
that this had to end,
but you won't get me back,
I'm done letting you win.
