Photo from internet:  Mine has some growing to get to this size.

A splash of white rises in blossoms tall On the Dogwood trees near the stone wall They have been growing year to year Now they have bloomed with spring cheer Decorated in white surrounded by green They are shining to fill in this beautiful scene Heidi Sands 5/12/18

Heidi, I am so remiss in responding to this beautiful expression from you regarding the beauty of the dogwood. I have a memorial poem somewhere in my list of poems where a dogwood tree was planted at the VA Medical Center in my hometown of Dublin, Georgia as a memorial to one of our veterans. The beauty it adds to the grounds of our medical center is a reminder of all of our veterans, myself included, who served God and Country. Thank you for the beauty expressed here for all to see!

Just started to bloom here. Always a delight to see dogwood in bloom. Pity they have no scent. Thank you for reading my dog poem, they (the dogs) are wonderful companions. Best to you. / M

Such a lovely tree, and a lovely poem to further decorate it. It brings to mind my mother's love for the dogwood tree and how they graced our yard when I was a child. Thank you for reminding me of this, Heidi.
