Dogs-We Are Returning

we are leaving soon
through the heart of the 
river compassion
back home to the 
solace warmth of
the caring earth
pink room with 
purple light
golden flowers
hungry dogs of black
brown white and mixed
floating in the chained
expectation of
broken love
we are returning
soon believe
