Thanks Jan, we have always had dogs, usually rescue dogs, although our last one was Bill Bulldog; a real character and darling too - see my poem 'Loving Bill Bulldog" and of course you are right about their loyality and their unconditional love. I would dearly love another dog Caren, but with my Parkinson's worsening and being degenerative it may not be a good idea, sadly. So instead I pet and stroke any darling dog I come across... Kindest thoughts Ann xx
