Not a poodle
or westie

He looks like a wolf
Not in sheep's clothing
No danger

Only love
Faithful presence
Honest happiness

I can call his name
And in he comes
Boundless

Longing to be known
Happy to have grown
Up with me

He rests and dreams

We walk
I talk
Whatever the weather

He teaches me something
Every day
About faithfulness

Simplicity
Honesty
