Do You Remember Grandpas Words

What a gorgeous ring! It is your engagement ring, right?
grandma gave me a smile. Tears made her brown eyes quite bright.
Remember the words grandpa said? I asked her, that October night.
She shook her head no; which to me was a sad sight.
Alzheimer’s had taken away much of grandma’s sweet light.

This is a heartfelt one, Caren. I know someone who is going through it now.
