Do You Like Me
Do you like me?
Do you like the way my lips part when I smile
Would you come for tea and stay a while
Do you like the scars of the past and hope they have healed
Or the bruises on my knees from where thousands have kneeled
Do you like my souls beautiful glow as it's trapped inside
And my mind awakening as it goes for a ride
Do you like my fingertips and how they bleed to remember
The crisis that went on last December
Do you like my eyes and their alluring disguise
Pulling you into my own demise
Do you like my chest and how it breathes you in
In this twisted game of life I have yet to win
Do you like my tongue and how it moves for you
In all my life you could never call me untrue
And do you like my heart and how strong it's been
Putting up with all this nonsense all over again
So do you like me
I'll never really know
I'll just wait until you say you have to go
