Do You Ever Get Lonely

Dreams are on repeat
forgotten as we wake from sleep,
what was the path,
which way did it go
do any of us truly know?

Waking from a restless night
 blinded by dawn's early light,
where does the time flow
when do we find the answers we seek
give me just a tiny peek.

Lingering within the midnight hours
there is little rest in images powered
with the hopes and dreams sown
while in the end we find
being lonely is most unkind in the all alone..

a most thoughtful reflective poem this is. I enjoyed reading it this Sunday.
