DO WE PRAY
Father I ask this day, to give me a new sight,
to open my eyes unto a brighter light.
Don’t change those things that would get me down,
but let my smile, change someone’s frown.
Teach me Lord, in the ways I should be,
let me be that change, that they wish to see.
But even in the knowing, it takes a whole lot more,
not everyone will let change, slip right in their door.
I find it quite disturbing, those who wish to change,
when its at the door, they find it really strange.
Wanting it, needing it, yet never stepping in, you see,
what good is change, just laying around as not to be.
Right in the way of progress, it lays down at our feet,
never excepting the changes that we daily meet.
Now there’s a mountain of changes just standing in our way,
and yet, we still go to the Father, for changes do we pray!
