Do I Die? (Lyrics)

This Is A Song I Wrote Called 'Do I Die'

I stand/
With eagle eyes I look over the horizon/
I stare/
Tears falling with each breath/
The heavy moist air settling like dew drops on my breasts/
Could I fall?/
Could I jump?/
Could I fly?/
Away/
The edge of the cliff/
Is in front of my face//

Lend me wings/
If it would be the right thing/
To allow me to break free/
From this misery/
Or let me fall/
So I can be no more/
And my screams wont haunt the world/
Ill jump for my destiny/
And God can make the choice for me/
Do I sing?/
Do I cry?/
Do I scream?//

I see/
With new found clarity/
That my heart wont ever be free/
Its bound in chains/
Soffocating/
I fall/
Ive never felt so free before/
My breath is stolen like before/
When someone use to be mine/
I could jump/
And I could fly/
But tonight I think/
Ill peacefully die//

Lend me wings/
If it would be the right thing/
To allow me to break free/
From this misery/
Or let me fall/
So I can be no more/
And my screams wont haunt the world/
Ill jump for my destiny/
God can choose for me/
Do I sing?/
Or cry?/
Do I sing?/
Do I sing?//

do I cry or do I sing? I've felt this emotion so many times before... great job! =]

These lyrics really touched somethimg in me, I have felt this way before--please consider trying to get this all the way to the radio--HINDER (the group) would really do it well. Good Luck! Kelli

Boo, I feel a sense of some negativity needing to come to a head...also a spiritual hope for the future (very strong!) with much strength in the last stanza! really "first-rate" song!!! and thanks for your sweet comments on so many of my poems! some of my stuff is written in kind of a self-hypnotic trance, that's when I get the clearest impressions, Jim

Dear Boo, this is such a sad and tormented poem, hope everything is alright.
