Do Good
Do good
Lend an ear, lend a shoulder
Give your time, lend a hand
Show compassion, love and mercy
Judge not, rather, understand
Times are getting tough and darker
For humanity as a whole
Be a rock or an oasis
For at least one wretched soul
Some may even be ungrateful
What a pity, they don’t know
What’s in store for the goodhearted
Ignorance won’t make them grow
Disappointment or frustration
Disenchantment or regret
None of these should let you falter
Do what’s honorable instead
Give and lend, do so with pleasure
Do what is virtuous, don’t mind the rest
Don’t forget the holy promise
’Do good and you will be blessed.’
