Divine Delay

Thank you for the divine delay
I wanted to go right then and there; I just wanted 
things my way

But you said, "NO CHILD."
"I need you to wait for a while."

"I need you to wait and waiting doesn't mean being denied."
"I see how faithful you've been, and oh, how you've tried."

"I need you to wait because there's something around the corner that you can't see."
"What I have for you is further up the road and it is your big HAPPY."

"I took you away from the crowd."
"I needed you alone and away from the noise that was too loud."

"I set the 'Holding Pattern' in majestic motion."
"Suspended in peaceful thought and rest for a moment of divine devotion."

"Disappointment after disappointment became your perpetual fray."
"But left jabs and right hooks got you tough during the divine delay."

"Rejections popped up and played their part, too."
"One cold, abrasive 'NO' after another, just didn't know what else to do."

"But you waited and you were not tired by it."
"The DIVINE DELAY led you to your new way 
and now you can revel in it."

                         Ecclesiastes 3:1
