Divertere, in reverse

Divorce is desolate, forbidding and bleak. I shan’t be convinced It offers the freedom of which you speak. New beginnings are impossible. It’s a lie to think Divorce makes healing optimal. The truth is… It causes endless pain. I refuse to believe Divorce offers a chance to begin again – And, when all your effort is in vain, There’s hope in separation When only heartache and sorrow remain. -- When only heartache and sorrow remain. There’s hope in separation And, when all your effort is in vain, Divorce offers a chance to begin again – I refuse to believe It causes endless pain. The truth is… Divorce makes healing optimal. It’s a lie to think New beginnings are impossible. It offers the freedom of which you speak. I shan’t be convinced Divorce is desolate, forbidding and bleak.

Nice reverse poem. As for the theme, been there and it's never a pleasant experience. I wouldn't wish it on anyone

Thank you, Tom. I'm hopeful that a few years from now, I will be able to look back on the experience and feel the second half of the poem is true. Right now, I'm still on the first half.
