Distraction

Gave everything I have to change.
Have the pieces on the board,
but the opponent always win.
When will I learn.
The game is fixed.
I'm not meant to win just get by.
After several decades of trying,
I'm packing up my pieces and moving on.
Where and when I don't know.
The universe likes to set these games up
and watch the millions fail.
Well not me;
I'll go find a rock to crawl under,
until I stop breathing.
