Distance May Deny Us Delight
Distance may deny us delight and keep us apart,
didn't we believe in love from the very start?
Why is misery something we hate
when these lips won't ever kiss
and these arms won't ever embrace?
Why are we so miserable as lovers?
Don't we expect or deserve more
than anyone who has ever loved?
Are we two puppets that destiny
controls and wind up sleeping alone?
We have given up on reality,
we took what wasn't ours and cried;
haven't we lost all we had before?
Distance may deny us delight and keep us apart
but not the passion that's stronger than our wills;
distance may deny us delight and keep us apart...
scattering ashes too soon is burying hope alive,
believing in miracles is foolish, not too smart;
isn't folly and anger shown in sad and distrustful eyes?
Our dream was to stay together, not wishing goodbye!
Distance may deny us delight and keep us apart,
how can we not tell that it'll break us?
Distance may deny us delight and keep us apart...
can we still be faithful and avoid lies?
shouldn't we get rid of all vanity and useless pride?
Don't we deserve more
