Disconnected
How can I be so close
Yet feel so far away,
You’re laying right next to me
But I don’t know what to say.
I know you’ll try to comfort me
And tell me it’s okay,
But I don’t want you to know
This happens every day.
I’m so tired and overwhelmed
I’ve begun to lose my hope
That one day I’ll be okay again,
That I’ll find a way to cope.
I’ve lost control of everything
And I can’t find my place,
I’m scared that I will disappear-
Vanish without a trace.
