Discerning Eye
L-et your discerning eye
H-ave the clear sight or view;
E-verything is nice and pleasant,
N-othing will make you blue.
D-iscerning eye has seen
E-ach and every passing day;
G-lowing light in the bright sky
U-ses not the dark or gray.
Z-one of beauty and warmth
M-akes the cloud white up high;
A-ugust twenty-fifth Friday,
N-ever close your discerning eye.
