Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Disassemble Me

It's something inconclusive
This feeling that I'm not
A perfect human specimen
Lukewarm compared to hot

I scrutinise the mirror
That I carry in my phone
It tells me of belonging
Yet I feel so far from home

I probably need rebuilding
Like a human Lego set
A different type of perfect
Is the answer I detect

A voice within me cries out
Don't change a single part
I love you as imperfect
'Cos you're perfect for my heart

Let's work on your perspective
Stand right here just next to me
Now tell yourself through my eyes
Not more perfect could you be

Oh my, this is such a thought-provoking, beautiful and intriguing piece with so many moving emotions.Very true, imperfection is a unique art of perfection in itself..It all depends of perspective and one's own heart embracing the soul as it is.I can truly resonate with all these feelings here and that quote is really brilliant to paid with.."Like a human Lego set A different type of perfect" So many amazing descriptions here..with impeccable rhymes. A soulful write this is and I've saved in Favs

This is absolutely stunning how you’ve created cadence with your brilliant rhymes and flow of words woven in sheer eloquence, yes imperfection is still beautiful. And that quote on the top describes it all. And says it all. And I think so many can resonate with this poem especially how you’ve written “ Yet I feel so far from home“ a very familiar feeling. the ending in this is perfect! Uplifting poem. Every line in this hits home and is soul touching. A fave definitely for me. Pleasure reading
