Disappearing In a World of Fun

Everyone was so excited
When they always get invited
To parties, dinners and much more
Better than the one before
Hanging with friends new and old
While I was left in the cold
Never being asked to join
Being left alone again
Invisible and disappearing
From the fun others are sharing
Shy and quiet, small and meek
I was playing hide and seek
But no one ever seemed to find me
Happy days were left behind me
No one had a single clue
I was so alone and blue
So I stayed in my sad place
With no smile on my face
And no friendly sweet enjoyment
Like my world took a deployment
All my good times took a hike
Never being loved or liked
So I live all by myself
My emotions on a shelf

I also can completely relate to this piece. I have always been the "loner" type and have never been very popular in my life. This one hot home for me, Sweet Pea; great job! <3

I can relate to this completely. This was like reading a poem of my own! Very well expressed! Great rhyme and nice flow to your words. Really good work, Robin!...Thank you very much for the great comments on my "Hope Chest" poem!
