Dire Warning By Ron Porter

i never loved loving you
i did it just? ?the same
un-guilty of the pains you do
i still absorb your blame

always i did as i was bid
ignored the hurt along the way
cheered the degradation day
never questioned what you'd say
allowed you,? ?devil child,? ?to play

in you i sought fulfillment
all you dealt me was dearth
you stole heaven and you gave
living hell right here on earth

each man has a giving point
out at last,? ?my heart gave
before i'll be a willing slave
i'll put one of us in the grave
