Digging Into The Earth Toil with your own hands Become an architect Live on your own land Waking up early morning Making progress gradually Digging into the earth A sentimental foundation I don’t need expensive luxury Escape from civilization Living on my own Remain simple Each layer becomes completed Humble and content A small slanted cottage My own place to rest It has character Nothing too fancy here and there A home under tall trees Chaos nowhere to be seen A short visit into town Not for too long Just hammer and nail In the evening built a smoky fire Look back at your work Take pleasure building on your own land With a small desk to write Document in time No other place I would rather be Just looking out the window pondering
