Died Not Knowing

He has died and left this earth not knowing
I'm sure for certain that tears would be flowing
His daughter disappeared over ten years ago
What happened to her I'm afraid he won't know

This story is not fiction I only wish it were
Nobody knows what has happened to her
For this man only old photographs would remain
He suffered it all the anguish and the pain

This loving man was so brave it has to be said
Such a harrowing tale in the news to have read
Died not knowing is the worse way to die
As I shake my head and wonder why oh why
