Did You

Did you say your prayers
before going to sleep?
For what we sow, we shall
also reap
Did you forgive those
that needed to be
That could be you or
it could be me
Did you say "I love you."
to your family today?
At any moment they could
Be taken away
Did you do something
nice during the day?
A simple hello or a nice
hand wave
Did you bless your food
Before taking a bite?
There are folks that are
starving in our world
tonight
Did you hug your kids
and give them love?
That's something this world
needs more of
Did you say "thank you GOD"
for giving me hope?
For in this world we need
that to cope.
Did you ask for forgiveness
before closing your eyes?
For one day our Savior
will split the skies
These are things to ask
ourselves each night
Don't take the little things
for granted or for spite
