I love unusual animals. You really see these on your lawn?

Harry, where you live, they might not exist. We did not have them in our area until a few years ago. They are gaining momentum because it is a good habitat for them. Thanks for the visit. Sara

Great Haiku Sara, I really enjoyed it. Thank god we had no such animals around our neighborhood.

Sotto, they are not nice to have around for several reasons, one of which is they are the only other species besides mankind that carry the leprosy bacteria. Thanks for the visits to my page. Sara

Hi Sara, I love the Haiku. I am lucky, no Armadillos, no moles, no skunks in my garden. No grass. Had to get rid of it for medical reasons, it was too hard for me to keep it in good shape. The only animals we seem to get are little Hedgehogs and the terror of the skies, seagulls. Dive bombers the seagulls should be called. I have to fave this wonderful Haiku, Sara. Hugs always ..... Mike. XX

Thank you for the nice comment, Mike. We don't get seagulls here, but I would think they could be a problem. Sorry that you had to give up the lawn. My husband loves cutting the grass. I know a good many people don't like that, but he does. I know we will have to give it up at some point. Probably sooner than we think. I have never seen a hedgehog in real life. Sara

They do that Sara. Here in New York we have skunks and moles that do that. Thanks for sharing...

Michael, Thank you for the helpful review of my work. We have skunks and sometimes a mole's tunnel can be seen but mostly the armadillo is the biggest problem with the digging and rooting. They will tear into fire ant mounds and help keep them down but not enough to keep them under control. Sara
