Diamonds

Oh precious diamond, you shine so bright You're like a star, how you light up the night So many want you, my dazzling jewel For your heart is of warmth, yet you stay so cool You're held in each person, but seldomly seen But when you are found, there's a joy which you bring You're priceless, soft diamond, which means you are rare Not many will find you, though many will care You glow like a candle, but strong, like a fire Your river of veins flow from dreams and desire Your crystal clear shell holds your beauty inside But maybe one day you will no londer hide If only we'd look in the depth of our soul And find our diamond in our pot of gold For our heart holds the key to the chamber of love And my diamond, sweet diamond, you were sent from above
