Sad that some people have died from acquiring the raw stones or from the cut ones. They turn into such nice gems and mean so much to a bride/wife/lover. Reads like a good contender in Caren's contest. Way to go. Your visit to my page with congrats and a compliment was uplifting. Sara

I agree with Gershon. Diamonds are for ever. It's been ages since I saw an 007 film.

My husband, in our younger days, watched them all the time. Hugs ~ Kim

Could go either way - his bride was killed in one movie. I thought the hero was supposed to save her.

Thank you, Andrea! Also from wikipedia: Blood diamonds are diamonds mined in a war zone and sold to finance an insurgency, an invading army's war efforts, or a warlord's activity. The term is used to highlight the negative consequences of the diamond trade in certain areas, or to label an individual diamond as having come from such an area.// So from wholesome to unholy.
