Diagnosis

Maintain,
It was the hardest thing to do.
But I have to be strong now,
I can't let them see me cry.

I'm the cool collected one,
I need to be the rock.
Because they need me now,
And you most of all.

You will fight this,
And we will beat this.

I'll be your blood cells,
So you can stay the same.
I'll be the hairs on your head,
So you can recognize your reflection.

I'll take your post as best I can,
'Cause I want you to see me build my own.
Your life can't end as mine begins,
Before your son's has even started.

Our sorted past is gone,
All that matters is here and now.
One step at a time,
I know it will all be fine.
