Devotion

The strongest and purest devotion that anyone can receive
can not be received from any person on this planet unfortunately.
The most devoted is presently at my feet, sleeping soundly as a log.
The more time that I spend with people, the more time I want to spend with my dog.

Dedicated to My Old Gal Tasha. No other has ever been as devoted to me as you.
Speaking as one specie to another, I Truly Love You.
I go here, I go there. You're always by my side,
but Tasha Girl, those are now better days gone by.
You no longer follow me like you used to do.
You're beginning to show signs that you're beginning to lose your youth.
Your tired legs may no longer follow me
but your sweet brown eyes are on me constantly
as you lay in your favorite spot so comfortably
never unlocking your loving gaze on yours truly.

A dog is a man's best friend. They don't talk back. :) I've got 3 here. I have a daughter who has a knack of finding lost dogs. Very beautiful poem. I can just about sense the bond between you and Tasha. Hmm, a Russian name. Well thank you for sharing and thank you for your congratulatory remark on my featured poem today. Best wishes, Caroline.

Bill, this is truly beautiful!! It is so heart warming, touching to hear you write so lovingly about your faithful friend! In fact, she's more than a friend. She's family! Great write! God bless. Peace and love, Audrey
