Devil's Playground

If you like the warmth between your fingers
Then go and get yourself some matches
If you like the sound of other singers
Then run headfirst into the wind

But don’t push me back into the corner
Without my boxing gloves
Cause you are starting a fight
And all I want to do is love

So please stay out of the playground
Cause we already built our own
Don’t go inside it cause you’ll let yourself be treated
Just like the devil’s pawn

If you like the sight of hope in your future
Don’t go running with the wolves
If you like the taste of a computer
Then I’m gonna have to let you go

But don’t push me away
I wasn’t looking forward to this day
You’d say
Don’t come home
I’m not what you were looking for
There’s someone offering you much more
We can’t hold hands anymore
So please let me be alone

I knew it was a trick and not a treat
But still I had to let you go from me
Cause I’ve seen what Lucifer can do to us
If I keep pushing I would lose your trust

If you miss me,
the things that we would always share
a candy wrapper in your pail
my arms were home to your despair,
if you miss me
don’t forget how you kissed me.
