Deviled Eggs

she made deviled eggs for me

and sandwiches of deviled ham
angel cake spread with apricot jam

fresh brew ice sweet tea

spread on a blanket over grass of green
not far from the clear water stream

under the shade of the old oak tree

a perfect day for a picnic lunch
to share with your honeybunch

with love and food and company

simple pleasures to enjoy life
help ease the stress and strife

sunny blue skies as far as the eye can see

find time to do not much
relax and be yourself as such

make time for love ones is the key

and your riches will be more than gold
your happiness will forever grow

how could life better be

nothing you earn could ever pay
of the joy when you can say

she made devil eggs for me

Such a lovely, sweet poem. A sign of love, making something as simple as devil eggs. Nicely done, Fritz! ~ Blessings, Carrie
